Room Fives Favourite Flowers

This week, we have been making statistics posters. Lucy, Alana and I  made a poster about our classes favourite flowers. The choices were roses, hibiscus, poppies and daffodils. Eight people chose roses, two chose Hibiscus, Poppys got three and five people liked Daffodils. This is the poster we made:

Shine Day

This Friday is Shine day. Shine day is when we dress up in bright orange to support victims of domestic violence. This morning we all gathered on the field as Miss Down took a photo of the whole school dressed up in our snazzy orange clothes.  Here are some of the photos:

Shrove Tuesday



Today it's Shrove Tuesday. Shrove Tuesday is a celebration before ash Wednesday. This morning, the whole school and Father Bernard gathered under our canopy to burn the palms to use as ashes on Wednesday. Most people celebrate the day with pancakes because it is a good way to use up ingredients, such as flour, milk, eggs and butter. And that's exactly what we did. We went to room one and made pancakes with the juniors. They were delicious! Here are some photos:

Our Play

This week my reading group performed a short play about a family road trip.  The characters were Mum, Dad, Harry, Alice and Jackson.  Everyone in the family was absolutely addicted to their devices apart but not Alice. The play was about their Grandma texting some very strange things while the family was driving.
