Last week a team of eleven year fives and year sixes from our school went to a basketball competition at Unitec stadium. We had five games that we played. In the end, we came second to last in our pool but we still did our best. Here are some photos from the competition:
This week in room five, we have been researching different countries of our choice. I chose Jamaica because I didn't know much information about it. We all got a plain worksheet to fill out and decorate. On the sheet, we had to write down some important events, the things they celebrate, what sports they play, what they wear and more! This week in Room 5, we have been focusing on ANZAC day. Mrs Drummond our teacher has a box full of objects that each have the story about the person who owned it. Me and my partner Lucy made a brochure about a stained glass window. It is a story about two best friends who can't see each other because of the war. Here is the pamphlet we made:
