This week in Room Five, we have been creating sun poems. We brainstormed ideas for our sun poems in our writing books and made a poem out of them. Here is my finished sun poem.
The sun is a light bulb shining
across the sky.
It is a soccer ball getting kicked
to the other side of the earth.
The sun is a gold coin glistering
on everything below.
It is a fireball glowing radiantly.
The sun is a face spying over
the earth.
It is a lemon squirting its juice in
peoples eyes.
I am a Year 6 at Good Shepherd School in Auckland. I am in Room 5 and my Teacher is Mrs Drummond.

The Indian Ocean
In Reading, we have been making posters about different oceans like the Atlantic Ocean, the Pacific Ocean, the Arctic Ocean, the southern ocean and the Indian ocean. I chose the Indian Ocean to research. We researched what countries they're next to, how big it is and more. This is my poster:
School Fair Stall
This term, in Good Shepherd, we are focusing on making products for us to sell at our school fair in November. In Room 5 we got split into groups for this project. In my group, we have Hannah, Lucy, Souen, Annika and me. Our group decided to make sherbert because it's easy to make and yummy! We made our group name Kandy Klash. Every group made a logo on google drawings. Here is what we made to use for our group logo.
