Jamaica

This week in room five, we have been researching different countries of our choice. I chose Jamaica because I didn't know much information about it. We all got a plain worksheet to fill out and decorate. On the sheet, we had to write down some important events, the things they celebrate, what sports they play, what they wear and more! Division Poster

This week we have been working on maths poster.  Me and Hannah made a poster on strategies to use to solve a division problem. The question we used was 573 ÷ 5. We mainly used long division to work it out. Here is our poster:

This week in Room 5, we have been focusing on ANZAC day. Mrs Drummond our teacher has a box full of objects that each have the story about the person who owned it. Me and my partner Lucy made a brochure about a stained glass window. It is a story about two best friends who can't see each other because of the war. Here is the pamphlet we made:

Anzac Art

This week in room five, we have been focusing on ANZAC day.  We have done a number of things. One of them was when we made some art. First, we coloured a picture and cut it out. Secondly, we dyed a sheet of paper with the colours of our choice and stuck the picture on. Here is my art:

The Arctic Wolf

In the past few weeks, we have been researching information about an animal of our choice. I chose the Arctic wolf because I didn't know much about it. We searched up the animal's diet, their habitat, the animal's looks and their babies. Here is my poster:

Class Poems

This week our class have been working on 18-word poems.  The poems we make will be sent to another school in New Zealand.  They have an anagram at the top and the item we're describing at the bottom.  There are different items to choose from, including a fake spider, a miniature ship in a bottle, a gemstone and more!  Here is the poem I made describing a compass:

Growth mindset

This week we have been making a brain poster for our growth mindset. A growth mindset is a mindset saying that you can do anything. We all got a little square of paper, which was like a puzzle piece. We had to colour it in and write down ways you can achieve something by having a growth mindset. here is the whole poster:
